Polarized Artwork on an Inline Hybrid Display

April 12th, 2010 COMMENTS

One of the luxuries of working in the trade show business, particularly as a manufacturer, is seeing so many creative displays and graphics. Not a day goes by that we don’t witness something impressive. But there are those days when we see something truly spectacular.

The images shown in these photos and video were designed by Austine Studios for Maui Jim Sunglasses. The Classic Exhibits distributor was Chris Chase at Everything Tradeshows. When you first glance at this Visionary Designs exhibit, the backlit graphics are dull and obscured, but put on a pair of polarized glasses, in this case Maui Jim sunglasses, and the images are instantly transformed into a vibrant, tropical mosaic. It’s AMAZING! See for yourself . . .

Introducing the Sacagawea Portable Hybrid PS-Series

February 17th, 2010 COMMENTS
Sacagawea Portable Hybrid Display

Sacagawea Portable Hybrid Display

Classic Exhibits announces the new Sacagawea Portable Hybrid PS-Series, a design addition to the very popular Sacagawea Display line. The PS-Series designs split the backwall into two distinct tension fabric sections while adding both depth and curves to the overall appearance. And like the existing P and T-Series, the PS includes options such as monitor mounts, workstations, pedestals, brochure holders, and standoff signage.

The backwall assembles with attached knobs, and the entire display packs in portable roto-molded wheeled case(s) with reusable dye-cut foam packaging.

Features include:

  • Stylish Hybrid Design
  • Portable Knob Assembly (backwall)
  • Large Format Tension Fabric Graphics
  • Lightweight Aluminum Frame
  • Header and Standoff Signage Options
  • (3) 10′ x 10′ Kits
  • (3) 10′ x 20′ Kits

Normally, we don’t “toot our own horn,” but in our humble opinion, the new PS-Series may be the most attractive and functional portable trade show display EVER INTRODUCED. It has it all . . . looks, portability, durability, large graphics, and practical accessories.

Click on the links below to see all six kits:

  • VK-1235 (backwall)
  • VK-1236 (backwall, workstation, brochure holders, standoff signage)
  • VK-1237 (backwall, workstation, brochure holders, standoff signage, and pedestal)
  • VK-2115 (backwall)
  • VK-2116 (backwall, workstations, brochure holders, standoff signage)
  • VK-2117 (backwall, workstations, brochure holders, standoff signage, and pedestals)

We’d love to hear your reaction to the newest sibling in the Sacagawea line.

Perfect 10 Portable Hybrid Display — Setup Animation for Trade Show Exhibit (Cool!)

July 4th, 2009 COMMENTS

Excellent animation by Mike Swartout, the Classic Design Director, for the Perfect 10 Portable Hybrid Display. The animation video shows the P10 Helio (VK-1507) with inline wings, hard rock maple laminate, and a rectangle header. The background jazz music is the perfect compliment to this video.

“New and Improved” ClassicMODUL Website

New and Improved ClassicMODUL Website

New and Improved ClassicMODUL Website

If you have ever created or revised a website, you know how stressful, painful, and expensive the process can be. Just gathering all the necessary data and storyboarding the pages can be overwhelming. Thank goodness, I’m not a programmer. Or a graphic designer. Or a project manager. They do all the work. I have the luxury of brainstorming and tossing out ideas and then moving far, far away while the messy stuff happens. But when it all comes together, it’s magic.

Introducing the “New and Improved” ClassicMODUL website (www.classicmodul.com). I’ll review the changes in just a second, but I should explain what is “ClassicMODUL” for anyone unfamiliar with this division of Classic Exhibits Inc. ClassicMODUL supplies aluminum extrusions and accessories to the trade show, retail, and museum trade. The distinction between Classic Exhibits and ClassicMODUL is a matter of degree. Classic Exhibits designs and builds trade show and event displays, complete with design support, setup drawings, custom packaging, and graphic specs. ClassicMODUL can supply all those, on an ala carte basis, but more often ClassicMODUL supplies cut extrusion, locks, and accessories to customers from CAD drawings or item lists.  Classic Exhibits works exclusively with trade show distributors. ClassicMODUL works with architectural firms, museum designers, retail designers, custom houses, and trade show distributors. If you explore the two websites for even a minute, the distinction is obvious.

Improvements to the ClassicMODUL website:

  1. By far, the BIG BIG BIG improvement is to the “Our Line” section. There are now detail drawings of every extrusion and accessory. The products are organized into categories, and you can download DXF files for each one. In addition, there is a new search tool so you can find exactly the item you want in a flash. There are several other upgrades in the “Our Line” section which I encourage you to review.
  2. We reformatted the Request a Catalog page, the Tech Specs page, and the About Us page. These pages are now much easier to navigate.
  3. We added a video which shows the MODUL island exhibit at EuroShop 2008. It’s an informative video, about three minutes long, showing the design capabilities of the MODUL extrusion system.

Finally, I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who worked so hard on these website improvements. To Tom Jones and Lee Tillman at ClassicMODUL for reviewing the database and your additions. To Flying High Creative Resources for pulling together and organizing all the information and for project managing everything. To Netra for your exceptional programming expertise and creative problem solving. It takes a team — an exceptionally talented team. Thank you!

Perfect 20 Video By a Classic Distributor

April 16th, 2009 1 COMMENT

Tracy Lindsay, a Classic Exhibits distributor, created the following video highlighting the Perfect 20 Portable Hybrid Display. In the video, she walks you through the P20 exhibit her client purchased in February and discusses the benefits and features of the system. It’s very well done. I didn’t see any pedestals or counters, so without pulling the order, I’d bet it’s the Anna Bella (VK-1800). The Anna Bella is a 10′ x 20′ display that can be re-configured into two 10′ x 10′ displays by adding another vertical.

The video is posted in her blog, Display Diva, as well as on YouTube. If you choose to view it on her blog, it’s the second one down under the heading of “The Perfect 10 (and Perfect 20) Portable Hybrid Trade Show Display.” Or, better yet, just click on the video below.
