If Exhibits Were Celebrities

If exhibits were celebrities, Carrot Top would be a . . .

Some of these are “spot on”:   Tom Arnold, Carrot Top, Lindsay Lohan as trade show exhibits? Just use your imagination my friend.

Banner Stands (cheap, attractive, but not always reliable): Tara Reid, Andy Dick, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan

Custom Exhibits (talented, larger than life, but occasionally temperamental):  Meryl Streep, Orson Welles, Dame Judi Dench, Aretha Franklin

Overhead Tension Fabric Signs (highly visible and stretched tight): Joan Rivers

Table Tops (small, perky, occasionally cute): Kathy Griffin, Danny Devito, Herve Villechaize, Dakota Fanning

Pop Up Displays (versatile, portable, and over-exposed): Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, John Mayer, Jennifer Aniston

Modular Exhibits (adaptable, upscale, modern): Denzel Washington, Anne Hathaway, Jimmy Stewart, Christopher Walken

Hybrid Exhibits (lightweight, re-configurable, contemporary): Johnny Depp, Robin Williams, Madonna, Tom Hanks

Green (eco-friendly but pushy): Ed Begley Jr., Al Gore, Sheryl Crow

Aluminum Extrusion Systems (durable, versatile, supporting role): Keith Richards, Alfre Woodard, John Tuturro, William H. Macy, Vivian Vance and William Frawley

Homemade Cardboard Display (barely functional, always tacky): Tom Arnold, Jon and Kate Gossling (but not the kids), Omarosa, Carrot Top

Vinyl Hanging Signs (last resort, unstable): Screech (Dustin Diamond) from “Saved by the Bell”

Play along!! Add your favorite (or not so favorite) celebrity to the list (and the reason why).

I like this game! It isn’t often we get an opportunity to be ‘playful’ with our equipment…Let’s see, honestly, the 1st word association that came to mind with a celebrity was…. The Pop-Up, sets up anywhere – BClinton.

    Kate–

Wow! I had no idea we were going to head in that direction. You are brave. Very brave. 😉

  3. Kate Glenn says:

dBs – Digital Banner Stand – Effective Digital Media Messages anywhere anytime. Deliver engaging messages on point, everytime with ease of set up and portability – like President Obama’s Campaign

  4. Gina Caudill says:

Demi Moore is a Hybrid Exhibit. She’s been both up and down a number of times in her life cycle. She’s 100% reconfigurable, and has been reconfigured a 100 times 🙂 Plus she’s contemporary. In fact, every time you tweak her she gets better and younger.

  5. Lucy Roberts says:

Rental Exhibits….everyone has dated them at least once. A little banged up, but always ready for a show with some new graphics! Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears, Madonna, Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholason, Hugh Hefner…. to name a few.

  6. mel says:

Brilliant! I forgot about rentals. You may want to add Rob Lowe to the list.

  7. Kathy Gheen says:

I love all of these “ideas” especially the Demi Moore comment, Gina! Getting better and young with just a few tweeks sounds great to me! Thanks Mel and all! FUN!

  8. This is too easy! How about Pop Up Displays? Hugh Hefner of course!
